Cheque truncation has not yet come to my place of living. So, I
haven't seen it practically. But I will find out how it is done in
other parts. As far as statement by BM is concerned, usually
I am trying to find out how a cheque is cleared nowadays.
What used to happen was
1. I issued a cheque and handed it over to the payee.
2. The payee then used to present it to his Branch.
3. Then it went to the RBI for sorting
4. The cheque then came back to my branch for verification of
