Yes a GC promotion can/will source readonly NCs from another GC, it does not have to go back to a DC that maintains a writeable replica. If the DC is already replicating with a DC that is also a GC, it is likely that it will start pulling the additional NCs from that GC. joe -- O'Reilly Active
