tcps would be the IP address of the ADSM/TSM server, tcpp would be the port
number in case of nonstandard port usage. You wouldn't have dsm.opt files
or environment variables to keep track of.

the easiest way is to set up multiple opt files. The before you access each
ADSM Server, execute the following command
set dsm_config=c:\win32app\ibm\adsm\saclient\satadsm1.opt

Hello All,
We are running ADSM 3.1.2.50 under Solaris 2.6 and the HSM client version
3.1.0.8 also under Solaris 2.6.
Recently we've developed a problem accessing our space managed files.
Regardless of permissions and ownership we get errors like:

than 21 files it won't work (At I was uunable to change that in ADSM 1.0

How do you look
I am fairly new to ADSM/TSM and my network guy told me they are having
abends on the server related to TSM. Has any one had this error before.
We have Netware 4.11 and TSM 3.7.1 installed. Here is the error we are

Did you have client side compression enabled? If so, the actual amount of
data transfered can be much lower than the size of the database. 47GB of
Oracle tapelespace doesn't necessarily mean 47GB of data in the database.

servers with a arive-life of 30 days and do a full-archive of the servers on a weekly
basis, checking out the target volumes after each archive.

TDP for Lotus Domino only works on Domino R5.
It does not work with Domino R4.
TDP for Lotus Notes works with some versions of Domino R4.

(clients) and the retention period but also on the number of versions you keep.
Our data base (on OS/390) is 11.2 GigaBytes in size. Our client contain over 4
