I have not seen any troublsome problems in the upgrade. Like any major

Hi,

Does anyone know how to determine
what tape is in slot number 90.
Seems "q libvol" only lists the tapes

It depends on your library. If you are using an IBM tape library you probably have
one of several utilities such as "tapeutil" or another. These utilities can access
the library and give you an inventory separately from what *SM says.
Also if you have a chart of the slots in your library and
Try the following:
select home_element, volume_name from libvolumes order by home_element
This will display an inventory of your library in order of slot number
(home_element).

ADSM 3.1 to TSM 4.1 directly?

Also, are you doing audits of the library on a regular basis. Should always do this
if manual intervention is done on a library. This will update *SM on where tapes are
in the library.

The piece we are all missing is that
ADSM does not know what the tape label
is because it cannot read it. Consequently

the slot #90 never comes up.
How can we eject/move the slot#90
to the bulk storage

Sorry about the previous post - hit the wrong button...
If you are on an HP machine, you can use the 'mc' command to manipulate
tapes in a library. If you want more info, either 'man mc' or ask. I can
give you more info. HP is the only system on which I am administering TSM

What level is your customer on? They "modified" the interface slightly in
