Hi!
You can not kill the Open File Module with a software. The only way to kill a OFM
software is to reboot.
That is becuse the OFM software is so deep in the software so if you should killit
then should you got a blue screen.
But about your problem.
I have see the same problem before but with
Hi!
Thanks for info. The problem appears (I think) on different files. As I
wrote, once it hangs on C:\WINNT\Temp\somefile.tmp, other time on some
Outlook files, etc. What can be the reason ?
Win 2000 has McCafee antivirus software installed, but there is no job
working when TSM client hangs.
Hi Again!
Is it always hanging when you run a backup? Included when you run a manuel backup?
And its only hangs when you use OFM?

Can you sort your dsmadmc output? Can you scroll up and down through your

Hi Janusz!
When you run a backup without the OFM ofcource the files who is in use can not been
backed up.
But then can you see if there is a problem is with the OFM or with the TSM Client.
But try to scheduler the backup a half hour after or before the normal backup time.
And see if the backup
Hi all,
a few months back, out of the blue an LinuxIA64 api appeared on the TSM ftp
site, just before 5.2 was released. So now, when I was asked about a full
client, I'd expect to be able to say: 'get it from here', alas, no, no full
client :-/
Now the same question pops up for Opteron as
Hi *SM'ers,
Does anybody know how to read the LTO Cartridge memory from the LTO cartridge?
The LTO specs/brochure show an expected life cycle of about 1 million mounts and
recommends replacement after about 5000 loads.
We want to know how close we are to this figure. TSM forgets about mounts as
Hi Everyone,
I have TDP for lotus Domino 5.1.5 on windows 2000 server. I am trying to automate the
backup by using the scheduler feature in TSM.
The problem is that schedule failes every time it start.
Could any one tell me why it failes although when I run the script from the lotus
server
Abdulaziz,
Does the file domarc.log ever get created? If yes, you'll need to
provide it. If not, the scheduler can't find the command file.
Do you have a separate scheduler set up for this TDP or are you trying to
use your node scheduler? In either case, look in the dsmsched.log (or

I for one can do that easily. My xterm has a large scroll buffer.
Hi Bill,
There is no domarc.log file when domarc.cmd is run from the TSM scheduler but it got
created when i run it from the domino server and it is working fine.
This is the command i run to create the scheduler from the TSM:
def sched dominopoldom dom_inactiveate desc=Domino transaction log

Hi,
my 2 cents (since we moved from Schilling to Euro we have Cents too).
I think Tivoli should provide an Admin Interface for every level of
Admins.
Commandline, SQL, Web is fine for all Gurus (this are the guys who can

found on this list)
A *real* GUI (Windows, Java ...) should be for the
OK, Reed, one of two things:
The scheduler isn't finding the command or the account you're running the
scheduler under doesn't have privilege to run the command file.
Try
update sched dominopoldom dom_inactiveate

to take the potential of the space
TSM for Sysback lets you store aix sysback tapes on the TSM backstore.
It uses the TSM api but does not set the last backup begin/end date in
TSM. Has anyone devised a good way to track whether their TSM for
Sysback backups are running successfully?

Today I took a closer look at how often and how much data is reclaimed and
migrated.
Since upgrade of on of our primary stgpool to 700 GByte 2 month ago we
could establish a migdelay of 8 days.
Together with our standard policy (1 active + 3 inactive and 60 days keep

Wouldn't that require special hardware? It's radio, isn't it?

Hi Thomas,
I am using an older version of ReflectionX on my workstation. Actually, I had
another HP-UX 10.20 server using the same 3.1.0.8 ADSM GUI. It has no such
problem on this server, so it led me to believe that some HP patches may be in
need. Thank you.

This is at start of the client back-ups and for all the clients. After this
For a given archive package/description, the directories are not archived

I'm not certain why it would be important for the inspected and

We have transaction logging on, and TDP incrementals run nightly against
