I have a question on Policy Domain Name for the clients.
On 1 of our TSM servers the Administrator created a different Policy Domain
Name than is standard which is now being used.
It is being used by a number of clients and has been for some time. Is there a
way to rename the

can take up additional tapes that are off-site giving you even less to

What we found to work well is to use NTBACKUP to backup the SYSTEMSTATE
then backup the system. The backup runs faster due to a single file

I backup a server that sits behind a firewall nightly to my TSM server.
The firewall allows only server initiated communications so the client cannot
start a session.
I need to restore some files from the backups to a client that is not behind
the firewall.
Since I cannot set the

to allow another machine to restore I'm not sure how I allow
another machine to restore these files
not sure how to get them to sync up so the backups take place.

We run our reclamation at 50% which seems to work very well. It gets
our tapes back on a regular bases so we have plenty for backs and do not
have a lot of tapes off site. Also you tend not to have tapes off-site
