The Gore vent is there for pressure equalization, prevent condensation, etc. I've seen about 10 or a dozen 450 APs end up with water inside. One case showed corrosion at the top of the board, so my suspicion was the seal around the cover at the top. Others I know the gore vent deteriorated

You only have two options, if it is hermetically sealed then it does not need a drain. A casting like that with the seals it has should be hermetically sealed. Obviously it is not. Or it is defective. So the other choice is a decent drain hole with something in it to keep bugs out. Screen
