I think I am close to getting this M-Audio Usb Audiophile card to work. I have slackware 11 (2.4 kernel) running on an old presario 700. I'm trying to hook up this fairly decent m-audio audiophile usb soundcard to the laptop. I think I have the card configured via alsa ok, but the thing

Very interesting - I get the same result using aplay -D plughw:0 -f S16_BE -t raw -c 2 -r 44100 chopin.raw on a little-endian raw file. Maybe the endianness of audio data could be swapped for the Audiophile, but I have a vague idea that this is a symptom of a trickier problem. Ben On
