Hi,
looks like something like hosts.deny/hosts.allow/tcpwrapper blocks the
access to the amanda-ports of your client.

I see a 2nd one but not a 3rd. The one from last night seems to have
been delayed between yo
The second one was the one that actually had the files attached. I didn't
get it either, so I may have typoed and it's still trying to bounce back to
me.
The AIT Definition that I used is:

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to sove the following problem

So as I read...amanda is not launching more than one backu

Not specific to level 0, but in amanda.conf there is maxdumps you
can apply to a
Paul,
I understand that this is not the way that Amanda works normally, but I have
an offsite storage requirement that I have to fulfill. Since Amanda normally
scatters the Full dumps across the week there would not be any one set of
tapes that I could take away. If I had to do this by hand each
I've searched the amanda-users archives and the web for information on
setting up Amanda to work with an Exabyte 10h changer and have not
been able to find the information I need. The solutions previously on
the list range from "I got it to work" (with no discussion of how) to

The easy way around this problem is to use holding disk(s).
Steve,
I wrote a Perl script to glue AMANDA's changer to a changer driver module I
found on the web at
http://www.in-berlin.de/User/kraxel/linux.html, which now appears to be
http://bytesex.org/changer.html. I used version 0.l3, because it was the
latest at the time. You will probably want to t

Jeremy,
I just re-posted the "hack" you mention below for Steve Vitale, and I don't
think it's that bad, certainly no worse than the worst of the rest of the
changer hacks. :)
Before you start on the changer, is AMANDA working correctly with the tape
drive and no changer (i.e., chg-manual, the

OK, might that this is not in the 2.4.2p2 version, do you see a way
to get the latest version from cvs ?

I have a 35Gb holding disk on the machine running Amanda right now, which
with compression should hold about 1/2 of what we are attempting to backup,
especially if I can get it down to just incrementals during the week. I have
had several suggestions about doing a separate run for archives and let
