to a file/etc/xinetd.d/amanda on a client of a line

backuped. Last night one of them was down. Amanda tried 300 times to backup
this (down) client und made 300 pseudo (empty) backupfiles from that client.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Amrecover lets you select
individual items to restore then runs the appropriate restore program.
