Hello Pirajá,
AO-7 is fantastic satellite (also also the crew in the sat is
fantastic!...hihi).
I don´t have yet antena for 10m and my dipole to 20m could not hear nothing.
I must find a solution to join AO-7 in MODE A.
Best regards,

Greetings Charles,
FB on the test setup. Appears that everything was properly configured, etc.
In doing the comparison with the diplexers I would insert the Arrow diplexer
into the boom just like the assembled version from the factory. Everything
was the same. Again, the only difference
Hi Alan,
Sorry for the long reply. Between other e-mails, work and the RTTY contest
over the weekend, I've been trying to find time. Your e-mail has raised
some questions I had to think about or gather additional information.
As for the Arrow loosing its speckles and plastic tips. My belief
My simple math says it'll take almost 16 years to be reimbursed on a
$30k system.
Initial outlay: $30,000
US tax credit: 5% (I guessed, I have no idea so this number could be
high or low)
US reimbursement: $1500 (this is not real money, but a reduction in
taxable income)
Total: $28,500
Morning,
For those who will be attending the Symposium, the forecast looks like a
good stretch of Fall weather. Crisp, mostly clear, but the possibility of a

Its more like 5.5 years.. I'll show you my numbers for Maryland:

No, Federal Credit is 30%

Hi Jeff and all,
I got 25 years warranty on the panels, meaning that after 25years at least
80% of the power output will remain.
The weak point in the installation is the converter which has an life
expectancy of 8-10 years. It is also cheap in the overall picture. Less than
5% of the cost of

Afternoon Sir:
I have enjoyed your postings on the BB.
However this time I have to ask a question of you.
The term Grid-Tie for the purpose of Solar efficiencies has me stumped
If you would be so kind I would like an explination.
As the old saying goes , when one in the class does not understand,
... I have... a roof angle exposure that is
not solar-friendly...
That was another error I had made in my situation.
Again, there is a BIG difference between solar design for
stand-alone battery systems (must point south, optimum angle,
etc) and grid-tie systems that can be anything from SE
Howdy!
I discovered a bug in GJTRACKER when I was using it to calculate some grid
locators for locations in the southern hemisphere. I don't know how many

Hi Bob,
While I'm at my summer place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (EN56), I
run my satellite station purely by solar power. It is not by any means a
high tech setup, but it works for me. I bought my 15watt solar panel from a
RV (recreational vehicle) center, and charge up two 26 amp hour
Hello All,
Just found this article on the web. Looks like we may miss out on using
the amateur payload. As I type the carrier beacon on 137.4MHz is coming
through as strong as other times I have heard it.

The grid is vulnerable as a system. We have to stop always thinking
about being connected to or relying on the utility grid. Think in terms
of building an independant 12 volt DC system (low voltage) for the
average dwelling to operate independant of the grid by charging
batteries from solar or
I agree that's a very nice antenna. The 70cm version I have works very well and
appears to be made nicely, although the polarity switcher is not weatherproofed
very well. When I bought these two antennas, and a G5400 rotator, none of the
equipment had ever been used. The 70cm antennas was
