Hi Kirk,
Like Greg said, ARRISat-1 is Robot 36. I also found that I received the
clearest pictures when I ran the audio directly into the pc versus letting
it pickup the audio from a speaker. I imagine you are probably already
doing this.

Hi Kirk.
You need a very good signal to noise ration with that SSTV via FM.
I've had OK (ish) pictures with a 3 element beam, but it's not ideal.
Try a near overhead pass, it must be a lot closer now than it was 2 months
ago when I last tried.

All,
I am most pleased to advise that ARISSat-1/ RADIOSKAF-V/ KEDR is very much
alive and giving an excellent performance through the 475.750/145.930 MHz

I had a similar issue when I first started downloading SSTV, and if I recall
correctly I believe it was because I had the input audio set way too high (I
cranked it down to just about no audio to get a clear pic). If you have

My biggest requests would be
a) Get it onto the Barnes Noble Nook marketplace.
b) Allow other filename/locations for the keps file.

If you record the signal first with something like Scanner Recorder (freeware),
you can adjust levels or try to clean the signal between passes...
Plus, you can leave it on during those passes you aren't there for and play it
back when you get time.

I've had good luck with MMSSTV using a Fun Cube Dongle, SDR-Radio and then
Virtual Audio Cable to get the audio from SDR-Radio to MMSSTV (all on the
same PC). Today I threw in a 4KHz filter from SDR_Radio and that seems to
improve the S/N ratio. There was a lot of noise removed by that filter.
During the 2229Z pass today, max el 17 deg, the -Z PPT 6 panel temp was

it was 88 C.
The highest panel temp was +Z PPT 3 at 68 C. RF temp was 65 C compared to
last pass when it was 57 C.

It is in no way a clear photo but I can see call letters in the upper left hand

Hi Zack,
It sounds like you don't have a clear enough signal from the satellite. For a
good picture, you will need to have full-quieting FM reception. How did the
voice announcements sound, prior to the SSTV session?
On good pass earlier today, I copied this picture:
Hi Greg,
I think you have me confused with Kirk, N0KK, the op experiencing the SSTV
issues. I do agree, however, that your signal must have no static if you want
to get a clear picture. S5-S7 sometimes doesn’t even cut it. I used the Arrow
(no preamp), and I was able to get it to S7-S9 as
Yeah, sorry about that. My fingers didn't read carefully enough before
springing into action.
So, Nick, any luck?
