The short answer is yes !
It works very good. Every portable operation I've
done was with an Arrow and SP-432-VDG and two
HT's. One to transmit, one to receive. I ran the preamp
off a spare HT battery, 9.6 volts. Worked just great.
Also have done some portable operating with a Heathkit

E-St@r's website notes a signal was heard on launch day but no data could be
decoded.
Robusta's website is quoting a frequency of 437.350 MHz rather than the planned
437.325 MHz but no mention of anything being received.

Just a quick update -- Yaesu Parts just emailed me and advised that
they don't think any of the motors from other rotators are directly
compatible with the G5500 azimuth motor -- the estimate on arrival
time of more stock is uncertain, possibly 4-6 weeks or longer.
