Just tried a FO-29 pass for the first time in months. I don't get down here
to operate at my main station much anymore. I put myself right around
435.850, a clear freq and proceeded to try and make a few contacts. Well,
after one contact all of a sudden there were 3 or 4 stations calling CQ on
850
That was a pretty good pass, given that I think I fried my preamp
(enthusiasm should always be tempered with a checklist!) and I was
aiming through the house here for the entire pass without the preamp
then. I guess the chicken wire stucco didn't hurt as much as I thought
it would have.

I just tried fo-29 from fn21 at about 1pm today. There should have been a good
pass in terms of elevation even with my stationary antennas. Nothing hear here
not even my cw downlink. I tried a few days ago and had the same results. Isn't
me or is the bird not operational?

I just got back on the air from my new QTH (FM07uv) and monitored the beacon
with good signals on Sep. 29 from 20:51 to 21:02 UTC. I heard no transponder
activity and no beacon signal on the near zenith pass here on Sep. 30. from
19:51 to 20:05.

experiencing a mutual footprint from time to time. Since the AO-51 145.920
uplink is within the passband of FO-29's transponder, you can often hear AO-51
uplinks coming through FO-29 as an FM signal on the downli

Hi FO-29 users
JARL FO-29 command team announced that
FO-29 has turned off the transponder because it doesn't obtain enough
durations of sunshine now.
The FO-29 analog transmitter was not able to be turned on by the analog
transmitter ON commands which were sent from command team on 10/17

good distance out -- but didn't hear anyone else. I'm not using much
