In any hardware or software deployment, ham radio or otherwise, there can

My thoughts regarding the two launch possibilities:
I hope that, if given the choice, that AMSAT sticks with ELaNa-12. The
11 year orbit and 780 km apogee is much better than an apogee in the
600 km range and a 6.5 year orbital life. Given that Fox-1 is the

Given that Fox-1 is the first amateur satellite designed for it's batteries
to eventually die,
we should give it the opportunity!
I know I'm being picky here but it's the first FM voice CubeSat to be designed
for operation after battery failure. DO-64 (Delfi-C3) has always been operating
One hard and fast rule in the space launch industry:
Everyone remembers a launch failure, no one will remember a launch delay.
Delays suck, it's a hell of a lot better than blowing up. The launch
industry is largely binary, you either fully succeed or fail. This is at
least the perspective of

Hold on. Not once did I ever suggest that ANY satellite was easy to
build. I very much respect the effort, research, testing, etc. that
goes into every one, be it a flying repeater or not. My reference to

OK I do apologize, as was pointed out I completely misread your wording in

building the satellite I stand corrected on your argument. Sorry!

The assembled one has lost its PIC a couple of times, maybe due to rf
