Just heard SO-67 a few minutes ago, and wow! darn! it sounds strong! Heard 2
stations plus K8YSE and KO4MA and I think XE2EX . . . even thou the was a small
window/pass here. the frequency was in just the 435.345 Mhz.

Just for fun I attempted to hear SO-67 on the 1416UTC pass this morning. It
was orbit 790 with a max elevation of 79 degrees. I was using my TH-F6A with
stock rubber duck antenna. A few minutes into the pass out of the noise came
the signal. For this minimal setup signals were rather strong.

I haven't heard any activity on SO-67 since the mode vu repeater was on last

Thanks to the hard work of the folks at Sunspace and AMSAT-SA, it looks
like SO-67 will be back on this week. I have sent them the following
schedule for North and South America, although sometimes not all the
passes are possible. Take advantage of this satellite while we reload AO-51!

Is it just me or was SO-67 audio low on this last pass I could bearly hear
anything but every couple times their would be peaks of the audio. This is the
first time in months I've worked the birds. So thanks for the help

evening. The On Board Computer was off at the beginning of the pass. SO
I had to switch it on and try to stabilize the satellite. I'll keep on

repeated as long as the transmitter is turned on.
If there is no PL on the uplink, repeated audio
will be reduced by about 10db compared to rx noise
when no satellite is in view. SO-67 is being turned

To all interested. I tracked the SO-67 orbit 1313 (12-13-09, 0147Z) from
EL29kq to a max el. of 9 degrees. I made several calls and had s2 to s4
signals coming back (via SP432VGD assistance) but no audio. I did hear very
short pings at regular interval's that registered s6.

I am using SatPC32 with my IC-910H. The radio will do Narrow FM. Is
there any way to program the Doppler file to make the radio go to FMN
automatically? This sure would be handy for SO-67. I have tried both NFM
and FMN to no avail.

Got my first QSO on this very strong SAT. Signal is at least 3 S units more
here than than the average pass of other birds. Very excited about working it.
But the audio on it did sound very "fuzzy" to me. Not the usual crisp clear FM

The central USA pass was much like the eastern pass.
Signals from the satellite were very strong. Audio
was very loud, even on the wideband rx setting on the
TS2000. Audio cut off after a few seconds of transmission
was prevalent. It seems that it took several seconds for
the audio to come back

the amateur transponder on so often this weekend. I had 3 potential
passes I could work from here this morning, although two of the three
were very low (both with maximum elevation of 3 degrees). I focused
on the one high pass
I was not at home for this pass but it was recorded
automatically for me. Just another perspective from
my location where the maximum elevation for this pass
was only 2 degrees!

Lots of competition on this 8 degree (from this qth) pass .
The three second tail timer was doing it's job. Some
tried to get their response to a call into that
SO-67 was not heard over the eastern USA as

The email you read said it "was a suggested schedule"
The SO67 web page has not updated the satellites schedule since last
weekend.
This suggests to me that SO67 will not be on this weekend.

for 15 minute activations over North America for Field Day. Activations
are -planned-, and are dependent on scheduling and battery state.
Remember both ARRL and AMSAT Field Day rules limit QSOs to one per FM
repeater/satellit

Last week Thursday flash memory of a CAN controller on Sumbandila
was corrupted by a probable radiation event. It does not affect
satellite health but prevents activation of the amateur radio
repeater.
Similar problems occurred in October 2009 and December 2010 and were
corrected.

at 1443z is now on my webserver. The bird was
strong as usual. It is difficult not to respond
immediately to a call to your station, but those
that wait for the "tail timer" to expire, will have
more than 3 seconds to exchange their information.

The dropout problem is still apparent but contacts are
possible. The bird is very strong as usual.

Now that it is understood that there is a 3 second
tail after each transmission and audio will cut off
after that time has expired, ways to get around the
problem can be devised.

Lots of activity as usual. I noted a slightly stronger
signal on the downlink on Left Hand Polarization.

SO-67 was over Japan this morning and worked fine.
It was Sunday morning 10:44 JST.
I could contact(10 stations) and hear(2 stations) in 10 minutes.
The signal is strong having signal interruptin several times.

Hi all,
Wednesday it was not on (I think).
The two other days it worked very well.
The general picture is that at the start to
the North is easy to work :-)
Once it gets further South it gets more crowded -
but that is only to be expected. More people can reach
it.
