hey anish from counter 8:40 note at 8:45 he mentions Ilayaraja :-) and
when he spks about 60s 70s mainly not much of IR at that time. End of 70s was
start of IR... Arr had mentioned many times about IR as one of his
mentors playing keyboards to him in his career initially before
Yaa. Thats True.. Ilayaraja always remains to be the Maestro and our Boss
has worked under him in the initial days.. Nothing wrong in telling few
words abt his Guru

May be ARR did not like to mention his name. It's OK...
He may have had some bad experience with IR. IR never gave due respect to
his musicians. He is very emotional had clash with many. He is known for
that. That's what it makes me think

Well said sundar, infact i also read an interview with arr some years ago. In
this interview he said that he misunderstood that music directors will have
the habits like smoking,drinking etc. When i worked with IR i could know that
it is absolutely false, he said.
