Mate language has a lot to do with the songs. Agreed Music is universal. But
the language used matters a lot. Why urdu/hindi gels better for Dil se, is
not only was it the original intended language, urdu best expresses the sufi
elements in the songs.
Its like dubbing the songs of Sangamam in hind
i have both dil se and uyire songs but dil se has the edge no doubt about it.
take ae ajnabi i think what udit did in it he is there to live forever the
lyrics match the tune absolute perfectly. BUT I THINK every song of this movie
is WORLD CLASS ,the music broke all language barriers , and bec
eated listening.

2. This song also gave way for a beautiful usage of chorus where the chorus
also sings the main song "dil toh aakir. piya,

ya i noticed it very early that whistle just kills me its too much
from RAHMAN. MY goodness what wizard he is ,the song also ends with that
whistle when it becomes most evident. its so enthralling, i love it. and what
should i say to this song , i still cant absorb it after
