Sorry, I didn't post our environment description.
Oracle 9.2i on a Solaris 9 platform - ARS (v6.3) is also on this server.
MS SQL 2000 on a Win2003 server.
What do you think about Remedy Link for SQL Server?

The only difference is that they are using the HTML writer class to

There are ODBC drivers in SQL to connect to Oracle, I think. You might have
an easier time of it going that way. Is there some reason that won't work?

What version of Oracle and what platform. With Oracle 10g (It may have
been extra on 9i) you can use the Heterogeneous Services and an ODBC
driver to connect to any db.

I remember hitting the same problem quite a while back. Pretty sure that
someone on the list said that ARS7 would remove this limitation. Can anyone
confirm this?

Anoop
You can add a another hidden field with input length <250. Set your
bigger field data(truncated) into this field and then use in your table.
Field having input length >250 can not be used as a table column. This
is ARS limitation.

You have to go into Remedy user, Tools -> options, the select the Advanced
tab and change the Default for view field to Admin. Then you should be able
to see the category fields. In the Report form itself you have to add the
new report along with its definition file.
