Hello List,
I need to create a vendor form using ARDBC connection to our Active Directory.
There are hundreds or fields available for selection(objectclass=user), but
some fields are missing, i.e. extensionAttribute1 , extensionAttribute2, etc..
We store a lot of useful information in these
David,
So despite Midtier being written in Java, a language that's operating system

I'd assume that simply running the Midtier 'test suite' - something that
should take ten minutes through the build files - would demonstrate it works

Hi All,
Since Master AR Suite was dropped we have been looking for an app \ tool
to aid in migrations, comparisons, finding workflow, documentation etc.
Currently we are taking a look at the Panacea Workflow Studio. It is a
big plus that they can give an evaluation on performance of workflow.
He didn't say Mid-Tier doesn't work on Vista, what he's saying that it is
not a supported configuration. Mid-Tier is currently working fine on an XP
system, also not supported. Saying that developers will be unable to
develop on Vista doesn't make sense at all and is most likely not true.

Thanks, Joe. I am in the process of trying to get LDAP to

Could I have accidentally set it so it is trying to use LDAP

the ability to reset Remedy passwords for their user community WITHOUT giving

Thanks.

That is not a bad idea actually. Unfortunately I think management would
have a problem with that. If it was up to me I would - trust me - LOL.

You can download BFS Password Manager (Bruce F. Sisk developed the
tool).
This tool has some dialog forms and other forms that can allow you to
setup password rules and password expiration rules as well.
The Password reset form that is included can allow certain users (with
certain permissions)
LOL - actually I like all your ideas - maybe I could convenience management
to allow me to do these things - never hurts to try.

Tyrone,
We created a Dispatcher permissions group. Added Dispatcher
permissions to those individuals on the Help Desk. Then added the
Dispatcher permissions group to the Password field on the User form.
The Help Desk folks can then make password changes without needing admin

That just brought an abundance of good humor into my day! It's true you

Hi everyone,
Yes, this is a simplistic question but I don't have my dev server to test it

My answer to these questions are as follows:
Can I change the database field name without causing an issue with the

It should not. The key as far as I know is the Field ID. People may be

Susan,
Yes you can change the database fieldname and it doesn't cause any

be effected.
