I made a few postings about having issues using the IF and SQL
statements in field mappings within AIE. Although I appeared to be
using valid syntax in my class mappings, AIE would not process those
statements. No errors were shown in the logs. After a bunch of emails

I've noticed after installing mid-tier 7.1 that it doesn't automatically
specify the Authentication Server on the General Settings tab in the Mid
Tier Configuration webpage. You haven't mentioned that in your original
post, so you might want to double-check.

First of all it would be nice to know what web server you are using. If you are
using IIS, then http:///arsys would be enough..
If you are using any other server other than IIS, the default port is not 80

After the fresh installation of mid tier, I added http://mid tier

You might also want to try deleting the form cache on the users PC. Usually

names corresponding to the forms the user has viewed.

Jason,
Check the users' display properties --> settings --> advanced button and on
the general tab, the fonts
are set to Normal size (96 DPI). Many times this has been the cause of the
forms being stretched out.

Hi Shawn,
We build an app within Remedy to add/remove groups for users. It is a
mixture of LDAP vendor forms, custom SQL tables, view forms, and some
Windows vbs scripts.
Basically we have a DO form with two table fields. One table field uses an
AD vendor form to list/search all AD groups. The
One thing to check is to make sure that you have the Default Web Path set in
the AR System Administration Console (Advanced tab). If that's not set, it
doesn't know where the mid tier is and can't render the flashboards (it uses
the mid tier to render flashboards). The value should look someth

Thanks Candace and Lyle for the information. I just wanted to verify that it

Mine is empty too. If I recall correctly, though, much of the approval
workflow is system-maintained. Whether or not it has something in it may
depend on how the approval engine is configured.

Good afternoon,
I would appreciate it if someone else on 7.1 of the Approval Engine could
either send me a DEF file or tell me what are the contents of the Approval
Filter Guide "AP:Workflow Notifications Guide". I show that there are no
filters in it, and that it's been that way for a while.
I have one out there http://communities.bmc.com/communities/docs/DOC-6036 that
I use with 7.1.0. It should work with the files from 7.5 (We haven't upgraded
to it yet so I don't have one I can test with).

Can anyone suggest where I can find a program to look at/analyze log

Hmm. I don't see that file in my 7.5 installation either. Looking at the

the distribution - it doesn't look like it's a system header or even for a 3rd
party API. I would recommend opening a ticket with BMC and see

Here is a copy of the current run. Although we are running on Redhat
Linux, the same code is bundled with the Windows API. Trying to compile
with a Microsoft C compiler yields this same complaint.

Matt's suggestion worked for an installation that I worked with and eliminates
having to reinstall AIE/EIE to reestablish the instances.

You’ll need to back up your EIE data first. Once the db has been restored
you’ll need to delete the existing data then import your EIE data using an
arimport command line.
If you wish to restore your server with a copy of the EIE data, then the
important form to backup is EIE:Backup
Based on what is I think you are doing, I will summerize and then post an
idea.
Summary: you want the same data EIE exchange on production as Test.
Why not just reisntall EIE with a different instance name/location and point
it to Test.
CM is then pointing to --> Prod , and pointing to --> Dev.
