Hi,
Since your Application and Webserver are on VMWare I would do a snapshot of
the whole machine. If you're on VM ESX server it has some options for that.
The best would be to ask your VMWare administrators.

Hi Mark,
No problem here, I pasted the text below:

Hi Kathy,
I would also make the second tier far more generic. You also have the
product categorization to specify what you are actually installing. As for
the Business Unit, is there any way to get this information from your
CTM:People form? For example the location, or maybe separate the business
Hi, I installed 7.1 on SQLExpress and that worked fine, as long as you put
the instance name as SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS (the connection string of
.\SQLEXPRESS looks a bit strange to me).
Never tried it with 7.0 to be honest.

Hi Mark,
It sure could, the best way to implement it would be to use an
AJAX-Framework with a java back end, like the Google WTK or Icefaces. This
will enable the drag and drop within the plugin using Javascript and the
communcation with the backend using the Java api.

Hi all,
The problem is resolved. At installation time it did not replace web.xmlwith
combinedweb.xml. After stopping tomcat, replacing the file manually and
starting up again it is working again now.

Hi All,
We upgraded our midtier to 7.0.1 patch 5(including the crystal enterprise
connector) and now midtier does not believe it has CR XI installed on the
same machine. I no longer have the option to select BO on this midtier in
the report configuration page on midtier.
Has anyone else seen this
adequate?

I am running 7.1, CMDB 2.1 and SRM 2.0 on Vista Ultimate. It's running on
SQL Server 2005 Express and Tomcat 6.0
It's the fastest Remedy environment I've ever seen, and the OS, DB and
Servlet Engine are all not supported :)

Hi,
Solaris here with patch 5 freshly installed. It is going into Production
tomorrow and we were experiencing some crashes before but after the upgrade
and through all testscripts it is working fine now.

Hi Hugo,
It works when you fill in a Request ID, if you leave the field blank it
crashed the user tool with me as well. Logging with me shows the same error
message as you have.
I did not report an issue jet because my User tool runs on Windows 2003
server so I thought it might be related to that
Hi All,
I started playing around with the new Java API, it has changed a lot, but
certainly for the better.
If anyone is interested, I made two sample applications (Create an Entry,
Retrieve and Update an Entry) which you can find here:

Hi Scott,
> Will we have to install the other ITSM licenses prior to installing each
product?
Yes for the 7.0 applications you will have to.
CMDB 2.1 will create a license automatically as long as there is an
AR Server license, so I assume that future versions of the ITSM apps will do
that as we
Ooops, I mean EIE 7.1 being compatible with EIE 7.0.
I checked the release notes, nothing about another patch for ITSM 7, so I
guess somebody has to go first and check for the rest of us :)

To be honest I don't expect CMDB 2.1 to work with ITSM 7.0 without another
patch. I did not download any CMDB 2.1 documentation yet, perhaps it is in
the release notes?
I was hoping EIE 2.1 was compatible with EIE 2.0 and only needed an upgrade
of the binaries and forms, guess I need to catch up w
CMDB 2.1 was released as well, so it should work with that one. (one would
assume)
