Hi Lisa,
Init-Form: parameter can be used to capture event when user
login to user tool (thick client) this *parameter does not work for web
client*.
You can add java script to remedy login web page to record required
information.

I think you have a few choices to make.
A) The Init-Form will work for User Tool clients. But last I looked it
is not supported by the Mid-Tier. ( Then again... the solution you
have does not work on the Mid-Tier
