Word of Caution on an Oracle RAC ... make sure you allocate a lot of memory to
the db. Here is what remedy recommends:

Hi Dave,
an Oracle RAC is fine, if your workload is mostly read access. But if you do
many creates or modifys then you have locks on the database side. A Distributed
Lock Manager must tell the other nodes about that lock. This can be a
