We use SIP Polycom 501s, and their dtmfmode=rfc2833. The remote party can NOT hear the tones when you start recording. I suspect that if dtmfmode=inband, they WOULD be able to. Could be wrong here, that's just my current rudimentary understanding of the situation :) Moj Remco Barendse
