The thing is, a friend of mine already has that amp built in into his
new house (he moved in during 2004) using SliMP3's and Boston inwall
speakers. I have no idea how it sounds compared to the Sonic T-Amp.
When I was there, the sound was fairly low and I never asked him to

one is $600 plus extra for the better power supply.

There was a discussion about a modded version of this DAC over at
AudioCircle. http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/viewtopic.php?t=25007
Also, if you go to the GR forum at AudioCircle, there is a lot of
interest in this DAC.

Thanks I'll check it out.
I am listening to my SB3 via the analog outputs and it indeed sounds
very nice to my ears. If I am getting an outboard DAC, might as well
get a quality one, preferably tube. I want something that really is an
improvement. The smaller DACs are nice but I don't think they'l
Liked for the year I owned it, it was very much improved by using a
Bolder PS. I also tried a cheaper upgraded walwart, but no where near
as good as with the Bolder.
I had all the Bolder mods done, and it was better than anything else at
the price (of course, I had dropped about $550 into the mod

Sorry, I did some more looking and realized the Pragmatic amp IS made
for in wall use, and has readymade solutions for wall plates, jboxes,
panels
Ok it's final. I am going for the Lite audio DAC-60.
I thought Dan Wright's response about the ART DI/O was going to be more
enthusiastic. Basically he liked the DAC but finds it outdated compared
to others. I read between the lines.
Better spend more and get something that I won't be dissapoint

oh man I don't know what to do.
I got in touch with Dan Wright and he didn't even remember what mods he
had done to the ART DI/O!!! He said it was a nice DAC though. The seller
is local to me so I can pick it up in person.
However, I showed Dan GR Research's page with the Lite Audio DAC models

I second this as well as her first album Tidal. Great piano work in
both. Extraordinary Machine also has a really well mixed track 'Red Red

I am getting the ART DI/O. According to the seller a divider network was
installed by Wright as part of his mods. This reduces output to half or
3.5 volts, still higher than 2 volts but much more reasonable.
I'll post with my impressions when I get it.

How about not stealing this thread?! If you want info on inwall mounting
please search in other threads. There are lots of info to find. See e.g.

So, anyone has any input on the particular amp in question?

Hi Mike,
I'm in for 2 trafos, and there are some other interested parties on the
Pedja Rogic TDA1541A DAC pages at Yahoo. I tried to PM you a couple of
days ago, but I don't think it got through.
Please could you drop me a line if you are still up for a group buy?
All the best

Hi,
the Sonic T-amp has been talked about quite a lot. I've looed at that
for an inwall multiroom solution for squeezeboxes, but then I visited a
friend of mine fir 6 SliMP3's and he's using a Pragmatic HideAway
amplifier, http://www.wireless-experts.com/products/saa.htm
Has anyone got any input
