You don't get DC on AC powerlines. If you did, if would quickly get
fixed when people notice the wisps of smoke curling up from
transformers in their gear.

Hi NewBuyer,
As I said in my orignal post, I consider my issues to be very
Do you think that the combination of a Room Correcting System like that
of TacT will help my situation.
Does anyone have any experience with the TacT RCS 2.0s
Thanks

all the times I've heard tact implementation...it seems to take
something away from the music...make it sound sterile.
I suggested a cheap and easy way you could see if you could get more
out of your speakers ...have you tried that yet ?
just moving the speaker position by a few inches can

Indeed you do, and I believe it may be on any leg (even the ground). In
most homes it will be a small amount, but in some homes it can be

I'm sure a strong DC current with high voltage would make you go hum
for at least short while. ;)

I'd go further and say this program is of extremely limited practical
usefulness, at least with external recordings (ie not made by itself).
And I'll only give it that qualification rather than a full NFG because
I haven't tried that.
I recorded the output of the SqueezeBox 1 for 30s using Sound
I wouldn't draw any conclusions one way or the other from that. It
sounds like your recording device simply isn't good enough, or there's
some other problem somewhere. I tried this three times - with a
SoundBlaster card in my PC, with a Tascam USB mic interface using the
line-in, and with my

Okay, so I try this again, using my Toshiba laptop and another copy d/l
just now. I have to rack the digital gain of the SB1 down to keep it
within the input range of the line-in, but I do the same as before. I
record the beginning of a track, stop, record it played again. The
actual track used

Indeed, if we could just keep that pesky AC from our power transformer's
primary, then the 'bonus' DC would be no problem at all.
Your 'subtlety' is not lost at all; it conveys a great deal...
