I used to do it like barty but now i use an app called CoverScout. It seems that the artwork that is fetched by itunes gets stored in some other type of archive file that only itunes recognizes, for some reason the artwork is not embedded in the music file. Doing what barty does, bypasses that arc

I've never fully understood the whole album art issue, but this is what I do. For ever rip, I go into iTunes Music Library, find the new ripped files. If the album art is in one of the files (or all of the as is usually the case), I Get Info and copy the album art from the Artwork tab. Or Copy I
