someone said below 80% of max volume you start losing information..? I thought/hear a reduction in quality from 100% downward so if you run at 100% vol on the sb3 then you may notice a drop off . I'd suggest that you set the nait's vol with the sb3 at 100% to your normal listening vol

I have tryed both (Transported and SB3) with an external DAC (Audio Note). Rest of the Stuff: Plinius Tautoro (preamp) Plinius SA reference (amp) Dynaudio Sapphire (speakers) Audio Note (Interconects). I'm not talking about measurements or tech considerations, only EAR. The difference is HUGE.

The Tivoli stuff is nice, but you're missing the part of the original post: the active loudspeakers (audioengine A2's). What GVH is really looking for is a preamp/FM tuner. I can't suggest one of those, but if you don't mind changing from an active to as passive speaker, what you're looking for
