I use in my home office driven by a good quality PCI audio card. I
mostly listen in the near field (3' away from the speakers.) I
sometimes listen from farther away or from the next room. I think they
are very enjoyable and a great bargain.

Well, since we're in the audiophile forum here we go... The A5's are not
audiophile, and not so by far. Why so? Because they don't possess any
audiophile characteristics. They fail miserably on stuff like clarity,
imaging, centering, precision, freqnency response, tightness in bass

the boom. I think you will find that most grade the boom as sounding
better. And Its about the same price and does a whole lot more. The
