[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Octoshape p2p HQ radio streaming

2009-10-05 Thread agentsmith
RTHK Hong Kong has just announced using Octoshape for peer to peer high quality radio streaming. Clients are available for MAC OSX and Windoze. I tried it on my Macbook/Weiss setup and it sounded good. Any chance of Squeeze supporting this? -- agentsmith System 1: Transporter+Hi-Line

I just got my A2´s, and I am very happy with them. I will change my pc to the new iMac when it comes out so I thought it would be a nice design all together. The speakers are pretty good, but not really ment for a desk job in my opinion. The reason is that on a desk you sit very close to the

2009-10-05 Thread Hasse Orloff
I'm currently using the Squeezebox Classic with an Audio Note dac going into an Arcam A85 integrated, but i'm thinking of getting the Sugden Bijou Musicmaster (poweramp) and going directly from the dac using the Squeezebox as pre-amp. Will it work? The specs on the Sugden class a poweramp is:

Yes, but you should protect your speakers by adding some in-line attenuators at the amp rca inputs for your dac. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal... SB Touch Beta (wired) - TACT 2.2X (Linear PSU) + Good Vibrations
