For me, it's really not a matter of music appreciation. There's not
many genres of music in which I can't find something to like. Thoughts
to the contrary wasn't my point at all.
My point is, and I'm sure others may qu

Also why some of us prefer a digitally controlled, analog solution,
post DAC. The sad fact is that many "24bit" dacs aren't very linear in
their lsb's, and can't provide sufficien

Don't do this, John.

Sounds like a bug to me, I would check the bugs database. If you don't
find anything about fixed volume when using digital inputs I would file
a new bug.

I make no audiophile claims, but I made myself what sounds, to me, a

It's a hacked workaround, but you might try installing my VolumeLock
plugin and locking the Transporter volume at 100%. I don't know if that
will work, and don't have a Transporter to test with.
Good luck.

Hi
I just got a Transporter and besides hooking it up to the SqueezeBox
server running ALAC, I also hook up my CD player as a transport so that
it can use the Transporter's DAC.
I am having trouble defeating the Transporter's volume control when the
RCA Coax Digital inputs is active. That's desp

Agreed, that's why most real digital volume controls use 32 bits + and
a dither algorithm.
This is a history feature only.

It may be a killer product, but not for a Logitech like company, they
want the MP3 crowd, volume is where it's at.
