Looks like it's dependent on the song being played. I have an older album that's noticeably quieter than just about anything else in my library. Ry Cooder's 'Bop Till You Drop' has an album ReplayGain of +6.79dB. While playing, the Touch's meters never hit -7dB. Then there's the Flobots' 2010

For whatever reason, the analog meters on the Touch seem very unresponsive and stiff. The analog meters on the SB3 seemed very responsive, so much so they seemed very realistic and not just a screen saver. I suspect it is a hardware limitation and they don't want to eat up all of the CPU making
