For reference, I am streaming flac files from the server (SBS) via
ethernet (wired), with the Touch connected via coax into a Wyred 4
Sound DAC-1.
By comparison, I have found that most every digital cable I have tried
between the Touch and DAC-1 affects the sound
How about a pair of Klipsch outdoor speakers about 10 feet apart where
the main seating will be. If that is not enough, add another pair
later.
A volume control on the wall would be nice. Here is a weather proof

I tried other digital cables (Audioquest, Monster, Oehlbach and Apogee).
Every spdif cable sounds different, but nothing sounds as good as my
1.8m Blue Jeans with Belden 1694a and Canare plugs :)

I can vouch for that Niles outdoor inline volume control. I have

Well, that's reassuring! Still interested in any

This was a kit from Madisound. The cross overs were pre-fab by them but
they do have the Clarity Cap upgrade.
As you see, my local cabinet shop ordered the 1 MDF and did the
punch-out. I cut the baffles with a router and all the rest of assembly
is biscuits.

Hi Klaus:
Last night my SBT froze (happens every few months). Had to do a factory
reset to bring it back, and as a result had to listen without TT 2.0 for
a little while. A bit bland sound, by comparison . . .
I was again reminded of the improvement in SQ that your mods have

Nice! I did build several speakers over time and this can make someone
addicted. The flash you get on first listen of the final box is
priceless :)
These Scandinavien chassis are really impressive, but i did hear some
completely overhauled Kappa 9 some years back. Feeded with some
kilowatts

The Reference 9 Kappa's are the most hungry speakers of all time. I

Welding. Good. I've been crossing-over a slight amount below 80. The
Peavy in the pictures is not optimal.
Got the Touch. I have been doing A/B between the Touch and the Duet.
The Touch is better - more detail. But, boy, this is hard. It is
difficult to distinguish between slight differences in volume levels
and differences in detail, balance and content. Different recordings

They will probably be fire-engine red or piano black. I'm not sure that

I say go for the candy apple red in a automotive lacquer finish. I have
always wanted to do this.

I'm also running a hardwired touch via coax into a W4S DAC-2. Can you
share your experiences with different coax cables or point me to a link
if you've reported on them already? I've only used my trusty Bluejeans
coax, and am really curious about the differences you
