Thanks guys. I know that Pandora is compressed to hell anyway, I just wanted to field some opinions on the matter, will check the links out later. Anyone Interested in putting forward some signatures to petition Pandora to finally Re-Code to a higher bitrate? Is there an alternative to Pandora?

You are seeing the Replay Gain data that has been encoded into the tracks. This info can be used to make albums and/or tracks all about the same loudness, thus avoiding the problem of having to turn up the volume for one album, and then turn it down for another to achieve the desired listening
