I've had a Cyrus 2 since new which I am now using in my garage/workshop with an old SB1 (nice to have music while you work!) It broke a while back (one channel died) and while an electronics engineer friend fixed it for me I bought one of the last black Cyrus2 PSX combox from eBay with teh

I think the PSC warning was because there's a good chance another cap could go and that would blow the amp. I don't know what do do! I am running the push switch amp right now and I would be gutted to end up with no Cyrus kit, or having to shell out and get them repaired again! The Push switch

Nolan - looks like replacing the caps is the long term solution. If you could dig out the circuit what would be very helpful. Cheers. -- thurstongarden Thurston Garden SB2 - Duet Controller - Cyrus Two PSX (off Freecycle!) - Mission 773's

Thanks Phil. Its sounding pretty good with only one power supply - will be interesting to hear what it is like with two. In my 5.1 days I can remember being gobsmacked with the difference biwiring my Missoin 773s made. That was with a Yamaha receiver. It seems a waste not to hook up the other

I was very happy with my Cyrus 2. Only moved on because it was from a pre-mobile phone era and buzzed really badly when a mobi was close and 'chatting' to the base station. -- amcluesent amcluesent's Profile:

Well I have plugged in all the power supplies and I think the sound is more open and quicker and also has a touche more bass. Still going to biwire though as soon as I can get my cables adapted. Happy as a sand boy. Will this pleasure never end? -- thurstongarden Thurston Garden SB2 - Duet

The Mission 773s will need shorting links between the two pairs of terminals on the back if you're not bi-wiring. There's a copy of the manual here: http://www.nrpavs.co.nz/pdf/Mission_77_manual.pdf Try swapping your cables to the other set of terminals on the speakers and see if that changes
