This whole thread is bizarre.
The only issue here is whether or not your ethernet cable is
accidentally causing a ground loop (only possible with shielded cat -
which is why it should not be used) or if it is providing a pathway for
stray RFI/EMI to enter your DAC - again most likely with shielded

Is it shielded or unshielded though...if there IS anything to this its

I have also compared generic ethernet cables from 3ft to 25t. No
difference in sound as far as I could tell. I now use the 25 footers.
If cheap ethernet cable doesnt sound different over big length
differences like that, I doubt there would be a difference in short
"audiophile grade" cat-5. I'm op
