Interesting, my understanding that Aqvox can hardly be called warm -
based on reviews, never had a chance to hear it myself.
What would be really interesting is to compare PS to Lavry DA-10.

Since Stella was mentioned earlier in this thread...
I noticed the Stella DA100 ( http://hifi500.com/product/da100.htm ) is
using the AKM 4395 dac chip. What I'm wondering, the Transporter used
the AKM 4396 dac, does that mean that the da100 might have a similar
sound?
The thing looks pretty

No, but I found a couple of measurements of SB made by engineers out of

Your post is the first time I recall anyone reporting such a definite
performance boost from a non-professionally modded SB (i.e.
non-Bolder/RWA). Nice work!
I'm about to mod my own SB3 and was unsure how much improvement I could

Hi
How does the Lavry and DAC-AH (and others around that price range)
compare to something like the Bel Canto Dac2?
Im looking for a dac that can smooth out some of the High frequencies I
am experiencing with the SB3. The bel Canto was pretty smooth in my
system previously but now with the SB3
The Lavry is quite smooth, yet detailed and resolving.
I haven't heard the DAC-AH, but it is a NOS design I believe and they
sound quite a bit different I hear.

Have been very tempted by the Dac 60 - especially with the sonicap

If you don't mind saying, how much VAT / duty did you have to pay?
Look forward to hearing how it

Somebody should buy Rajacat's Constantine DAC from him. MHDT makes
great dacs, and they fit right in the mix of cheap enough to gamble
