I appreciate different tastes too! Anyone who likes high quality music and systems which reproduce it well will like a well-recorded album. When I listen to Diana Krall's Live in Paris I enjoy a great recording, terrific instrumentalists, and a great singer. -- RAB

I am not trying to be clever, but should you use whichever sounds best to you? Look at it as follows. The DACs in both machines have to cost less than $100. If you had a high end Yamy Z9 or something the answer would be more obvious. An external DAC is also an upgrade option. For now, it must

There's really no way to know, other than listening. But I doubt you're going to find much difference without an equipment upgrade. You might also try the digital coax output while you're experimenting. Some here have commented it sounds better than optical on their systems. Unfortunately,
