Blanik GTC went from Tennant Creek to Grafton Gliding Club where it was their
primary trainer for many years.
It was cross hired to Lake Keepit for a while a few years back.
It had a heavy landing and undercarriage was damaged. Ron Cameron bought the
damaged glider.

I disagree. Hornet, Mosquito, and Club Libelle are all very roomy and
comfortable (I'm 6'2" or 188cm). Standard Libelle maybe a squeeze.
Glasfluegel machines were also very sound designs, and very advanced for
their time - and self connect, no L'hotellier fittings. I'm a fan of
Glasfluegel.
I suggest you download the aircraft reigstry from CASA - you can inspect for
gliders of the makes you're interested in.
A letter to all those registered owners may surprise you - often owners who
haven't advertised may be interested in selling when approached directly.

I found this out to my cost just last month. Sent
my chute in to have a static line fitted - straps were UV affected and so
declared U/S by them, and container only had 2 yrs life to go. It was cheaper to
buy new container and harness - at $1250. Canopy was OK - I gathered that
canopy does
hold a
min. 12.85 volts open circuit.
Load it with the 20watt lamp, and a 7AHr battery should hold around 12
volts.
If the battery voltage drops below this then the battery condition is
questionable.
