I have the same problem in AX 4 SP2, but in a ProdBom Journal. I have a open
transaction causing the erro message: "Quantity ordered may not be reduced
because there are not enough inventory transactions with 'on order' status."

Thanks for the clue. As I tried to explain, this production order has a
ProdBOM (dedicated to one particular item) where the system, for unknown
reason, splitted it into two lines. The first line only released part of the
total required Qty. The other line has NO inventTrans. I guess the

Thanks for advising. It's possible to be the reason behind
but the corresponding item has no more stock to reserve / deduct and
actually all the picking list for that particular item have been posted.
Anyway there's a hanging transaction for this item that still in "ON ORDER"

The problem is that there is not a match between the different
dimensions E.g. Batch number at the one and not at the other one.
