Hello,
We have a WSDL centric solution and therefor uses wsd2java to generate the
server side skeletons
(and client code to test our solution). The actual real clients are using a
variety of differnt WS implementations (gSOAP etc)
A long time (big) problem is that the generated code

Some of the jars have a built using 1.5 tag in their manifests.
Could somebody please confirm that the versions are fully (and the used

Yes, you should make sure your /lib only contains either Rampart 1.3 or Rampart
1.4.

Hello Axis2 team,
Congratulations on getting the Axis2 1.4 release out! I had a
question related to versioning.
Does the newly released Axis2 1.4 version support multiple versions
of the same service? I had followed the JIRA at the link
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-1810
Hello Axis Team,
I need to support multiple versions of a Service on one application
server and I'm trying to find the most elegant way to do it.
So far the best solution I can find is to have the version built into
the pathname of the supporting classes - ie :
net.brokerhub.xml.market_1_3
Hi Anil,
The idea is to have independent components. Therefore the server doesn't
know the clients implementation and the other way around. The only
important thing is that they both stick to the contract (wsdl file) for
sending the correct messages.
Different versions can have problems ofcourse
Hi,
We use Axis2 for the WebServices and ADB for the code generation. Currently,
the Server side uses Axis2 1.1.1 version and Client uses Axis2 1.2 version
for code generation (stubs etc). Is this type of set-up okay? or will there
be any problem with different versions.
Can Client version

I also tried in other base versions of Axis2 like 1.1 and 1.1.1, but still
getting the same error message.
Then I thought of using Axis 1.4 instead of Axis2 versions assuming that it may

Hello, is there any backwards compatibility compromise in Axis2

longer compatible with an installation of Axis2 1.1 since

Hello,
It is inevitable that your services will need to change. What are the best
practices for running multiple versions of the same axis service
concurrently?

Hi all,
I am considering the following use case. I have a service which needs
external .jar file. I have two versions of this jar.
If I put one version in the lib directory of my .aar and the other one in
the lib directory of the Axis2 web application, then
the one in the Axis2 lib directory
If I set the addressing version using:
_messageContext.setProperty(AddressingConstants.WS_ADDRESSING_VERSION,
AddressingConstants.Submission.WSA_NAMESPACE);
then when a fault message is sent the action is correctly set to:
http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing/fault

Since the errors we got from our service were so inconclusive, we didn't want to
try it without at least the version service running properly. On the Validation
