(7c5r). RR lists his marriage to Maria de Paiva, dau of Manuel Afonso
x Maria de Paiva, as 4-Feb-1741/MRG (Genealogias de S. Miguel e Santa
Maria -pga 296). Our common ancestors are Alvaro Lopes do Vulcao x
Mecia
I just found the marriage record for my husband's 3rd great-grandparents,
Joao de Medeiros and Maria Ricardo, of Ajuda de Brehanha, 26th Mar 1843,
and the parents of Maria are listed Jose da Camara and Anna de Jesus
Losados.
Could this be the same Jose da Camara mentioned below?

I visited the site for Family Tree DNA to sign up, but they only allow
you to sign up if you buy the kit. I've done my DNA with Sorenson
Genetics. Is there a way to join the FT DNA other than buying the kit?

While the name Joao de Camara is the same, the name of the spouse is
different. I would say that most likely it is two men that had the same name
unless you can find out if one of the women is a second wife. In other words
I would look for the marriage of Joao de Camera and Anna de Jesus Losados

Thank you. I'm still far away from what I want in my english.
Portuguese is my native language and when I have time, I just do my
genealogy and transcriptions. I love paleography and work with book
restoration and conservation as well as old colonial documents from US
at my work.
