A while ago I moved bacula from one machine to another. I basically
started from scratch, and didn't bother to move over the old database.
Now, I need to retrieve a directory from tapes from the old database. I
have two choices, and I am wondering which is easier. I know that the

suggesting above to the dir config or to the volumes themselves, but I
should just be able to scan the volumes into the catalog at this point.

yup, exactly the same problem. I can log into myql using the same
name/password that is present in the bacula-dir.conf file, but from the
config file it doesn't work. That thread ends

Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me why this script got rid of all of
the volumes, but not the old jobs? (When I ran it I got the succeeded
comment.) I also tried just deleting the jobs from bconsole, but they
didn't seem to go away then either.
