The way I interpreted Pat's comment about breeders who
"force" an owner to finish the CH on a "show quality"
pup was like this... not sure if this was what she
meant or not:

Absolutely, I agree with you! Without being a breeder, I will never
understand what I would do in similar circumstances. I know there are
some very hard decisions, and without being in the position of having to
make them, I'm only a Monday morning quarterback.

Pat Long is one of the the most educated and knowledgable dog people any
breed is lucky enough to have, whether or not she ever bred a litter. She is
incredibly dedicated to this breed and has amazing common sense.
