I thought I'd stumbled across a bug this morning when I saw my time remaining progress bar started full and emptied from the left. However, I see this was intentional (bug 3064). In my opinion, this is a backwards step - the progress bar to me represents the progress through the song. I like

I'd not noticed this untill you said, but I'd like to be able to turn the progress bar off altogether. I like to just use Elapsed Time because I have other info from the MusicInfo plugin on the top line. The option to just have Elapsed Time on it's own without a progress bar only appears on a SB1

This one first appeared with the 8/3/06 nightly of 6.5. Selecting Random Album Play causes the server to exit. On selecting Random Album a "Problem File Not Found" followed by the title of the chosen album is shown then the server quits. Let me know if you need any more info. Craig -- Craig

I've been trying to upgrade to 6.5 for a couple of days to do a bit more testing on MIP integration. I've done a clean install of slimserver, which starts up fine, but when I try to upgrade to the latest firmware, the SB gets part way through, then stops with the message "update_begin: bad state"

I've found updating to the latest firmware a bit hit and miss (I think I've even seen 'malloc' error messages) - particularly when updating from very old firmware versions. If you're updating from a very old firmware, try updating to say a 6.3 firmware as an intermediate step; or just persist. E

I accept that this is a good technical solution to generate pure tags for my music. I just wonder if SLIMSERVER should take a more liberal view of tags in MP3 files. That is collect all tags both V1 and V2 and build song record using both rarther than ignoring V1 tags if V2 exist. -- DaveBrenn

My problem was that with only one V2 tag definedalbum art..then the result was that the song exited out of the library. Maybe you need a place to put orphan songs. I just think if you have a song that has V1 tags for artist/album/track and only Album art defined as a V2 tag dumping the V1 dat
