I think ALBUMARTIST isn't even a standard tag, but an iTunes thing. Not an iTunes thing - they use BAND I believe. iTunes is particularly poor in that if you do have an album artist or band tag, it doesn't display it as the artist in the artist list. ALBUMARTIST is imho mapped to BAND, as does

I am having trouble (on two different WinXP machines) getting MusicIP to communicate with SC7. In the past this has been due to Slimserver starting before MIP. So, I have stopped Slimserver, started MIP and restarted Slimserver. The problem is that I don't see a way to stop Slimsever any more.

Whether you use UNC paths (like //RedSavina/media/music) or mapped paths (like L:/My Music) try to make sure that you stick to the same convention throughout (e.g. in shortcuts, within playlists and in the paths to your music and playlists directory). Application or service, it's up to you.

1) I should run as a service. This depends on your use case. I do prefer it. 2) The Music Folder (under Basic Settings) should be //RedSavina/media/music instead of R:\Music. Just make sure you use backslashes instead. And you run the service under your user account (the option is given in

The install seemed to progress fine, until it tried to open a browser to http://127.0.0.1:9000. Then I was surprised to see a Enter login for SqueezeCenter prompt and then whatever I entered I got the error back 401 Authorization is Required to access this SqueezeCenter. That's odd. But
