Surely Favourites are really intended just to be links to
stations/albums/songs etc which are stored elsewhere in primary menus?
The Favorites menu is just a quick access shortlist. So it does not
actually make sense to import directly into Favourites at all. There
should be a My radio stations

You could run SC on the TS109 (it's being done by quite a few members of the
community) for the times when you want to shut down your PC. See the
3rd-party-hardware forum for more

www.mp3tag.de can be set to remove and/or write any combination of

Are you sure your understand Michael ?
He is saying just disable UPNP support on SC7 and not Twonky (assuming
you need Twonky for some other player).

The rpm nightly has been missing menu icons in the last few days. The
missing icons are:
Music Library: Random Mix
Internet Radio: All but Alien and Tune in URL
Music Services: All
Extras: All but Softsqueeze and Switch to SN.
These icons are all present on the Windows version of

Working for me. Just updated to the very latest build, and all are there.
I guess you're seeing some caching issues in your browser?

Yeah I deleted the server cache and the browser
Any details on exactly what it isn't scanning, etc.? Any log file
entries? I've just done a few full scans (on a Windows system) without
it hanging or anything - if that helps at all. Without a lot of the

Hi,
I got two anoying problems with SC7. I've installed it on a Windows
Home Server. First problem is, that everytime I try to turn my SB3 on
(was long time in Standby) it runs extremly slow. When I try to
navigate though the menus on my SB3 with the remote, it takes seconds

Could it be that the additionalLinks.radio array was recently changed
to additionalLinks.radios?
This breaks all skins. What is the reason for this change?
I find that there are fewer choices there, too, correct? Does
additionalLinks.music_on_demand still exist?

They are additionalLinks.radios and additionalLinks.music_services.
This change was made for consistency.
Consistency??? I mean: you have to change EVERY skin, that's not really
consistent, isn't it?
Can

Not sure what caused my wma internet streams to no longer play via
Softsqueeze so I need to turn on the appropriate debugging in SC7. What
log entries should I be looking for?
SC7 (latest SVN), Windows XP, Softsqueeze 3.6

The problem is not so much the change... one line of code for me, 3 if
you count the condition to be backwards compatible.
The problem is: There is no way these things get announced. It took me
half an hour just to find out that it's not something with my code, that
is wrong but that something

Agreed with Michael, WFM. I believe Michael was referring only to the
browser cache and not any SC cache files.

Perhaps I am just blind to it, but I can't find the setting to change
the default volume control to the alternate version (graph + volume
number) that was available on SS.
Where is it?

This was only available when using a plugin - I think Michael included
it in his MusicInfo Screensaver plugin. In which case it would
hopefully be under the settings page for this?

I just had the same problem after installing SSODS 3beta4 and
Squeezecenter on my CS 407.
The scanner would not start!
Then I deleted /volume1/SlimServer/CPAN/Compress/Zlib.pm as described
on flipflip's page http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods3
After that the scanner worked just fine.
Maybee it is

Far too true. Everything goes there, and folks get soundly razzed if
the comments are crap, plus any that link to bugs get linked and have
comments in the bug.
I just did a new install of SC7 via yum install squeezecenter. The
default server.prefs file includes a strange IP address in the
allowedHosts entry: 208.67.217.130. Is that SN beta? I can't get
any DNS resolution on that IP, can't ping it, can't traceroute to it.

The allowedHosts pref defaults to Slim::Utils::Network::hostAddr() which
attempts to detect your system's IP address. Could it be your own
address?

OK we figured it out. :) Are you using OpenDNS for your DNS service?
That IP is one of the OpenDNS search engine servers.
The way that bit of code determines your address is a bit wrong, it
finds your hostname using Sys::Hostname and then does a DNS lookup on
it. I'm guessing what happened is
What I would like to see is a single place where I could look recent

Clearing browser cache did not solve the problem, I had to delete the
