In order to get SC running on NAS systems, what fliflip et al. do, is wrap
up a whole bunch of perl files needed to run SC into some package. That
list of perl modules has changed quite a lot since 7.3: MySQL has been

Will do - I had to swap back to an earlier build (pre SQLite) last night
as my better half doesn't much care for bleeding edge if it means the
alarm doesn't go off on Monday morning! Will upgrade again tonight,

I've just installed the latest 7.4 nighty (with new SQLLight db stuff I
guess) over an old 7.4 nightly (from three weeks ago or so).
I didn't have a path set for my playlists so I added one when the
Control Panel popped up at the end of the installation. I added:
C:\My Test Music\_playlists

I can't comment on the decrease yet. But reasons are reduced memory
consumption (no MySQL process needed), less complexity leading to less
trouble for the end user, no AV scanner blocking MySQL, no communication
paths
If you have the Settings page open (I have it open in a second tab in

tab. Settings follows a current player just like the main page does.
