The first scan with RC3 aborted. The second one is hung. I went out of
my way to enable Debug and double-check it's enabled, but I'm getting
no information from the Scanner log. Last Server log entries say:

Next time you run a scan, could you please monitor memory consumption on

If I can't get that version to work I'll install RC 23 ;O) of 7.6.1 and
enable memory logging and try it.

Don't enable SBS' memory logging, but watch the server's memory usage. I
just updated my ReadyNAS (256MB too), and it scanned my collection just
fine:

Just upgraded to RC3. The initial scan look quite a long time (1h47m for
14,500 songs) and then CPU usage went to 100%. I left in 30 minutes or
so, but got fed up waiting. A restart of SBS seems to have fixed it.

That's odd: one of the messages would only be printed if the check failed
after 30s(!).

Hi - Windows Home Server 1.0. Upgraded to SBS 7.6.0, then to 7.6.1
33088, after I found out that 7.6.0 would not restart.
Same problem in 7.6.1 - starts fine after reboot, however will not
restart, e.g. after plugin update.
Is this fixed in RC3?

Tried downgrading to 7.6.1 RC1 and then to 7.6.0 (which I was sure
worked perfectly fine), but the scanner also died in both cases.
Finally, I applied my Windows sysadmin knowledge: I've rebooted the
QNAP.
And guess what? It now works again with RC3. ;)

I reinstalled SBS 7.6.1 RC3 and went through all the configuration via
the browser interface. I got a message on the Plug-ins page that SBS
needed to re-start - this is *after* I had hit "Apply". When I pressed
"Restart now" I was no longer unable to access that page, or any part

The last few LMS 7.7 nightlies have stopped scanning at all. File
discovery is OK but nothing scans from there on either with full rescan
or scan for new only. It seems to be the same error as in SbS 7.6.1

seconds - I had to cancel the scan and start it again, with 2nd attempt

There was a database schema change that was merged from 7.6. Whenever
there's a change in the design of the database it forces a complete
rescan to be run.
